CHANGE the narrative of
GIVING.
At Passion Aid Foundation Africa, one can directly donate to successful community projects that empowers local people living in extreme poverty. We work with community groups in the sub-region of Lango, Acholi, Karamoja, Teso and West Nile to realize their full potential and contribute to their household income.
Access to quality education enables children to achieve their potential. Education enables gainful
employment opportunities and empowers boys and girls to participate in
decision-making to build a better future for themselves and their communities.
PAFA’s education support ensure
that children, especially the most vulnerable, read with comprehension and
develop a love of learning, through working in partnership with children, their
families, communities, teachers, schools, and education systems.
´ The program provides opportunities for Orphans and vulnerable children to enter and remain in the school system. This is achieved through partnership with individuals, families, and organizations to support vulnerable children and their families through child sponsorship.
´ The program equips single mothers and unemployed youth who dropped out of the school system with various technical skills so that they can earn income to sustain themselves and their families. The skills include among others are tailoring, knitting, paper beads making. Additionally, they are trained in basic business/ entrepreneurial skills and receive appropriate start up tools and materials. The trained young people will fill the gap of trained technicians in the community and bring about general urban life improvement.
Livelihood
Agriculture remains the main source of livelihood for most communities in Uganda employing close to 70% of the rural population. Investment in agriculture is seen as the most strategic choice to empower the large rural population.
´Our programing integrates all components of skilling farming households in improved farming practices and promoting farming as a business to boost incomes, since agriculture is the major source of income and food security for the community. We work with community structure at a grass root level to identify long lasting solution to poverty.
